This page will provide ongoing updates on availability of cold and flu season vaccines. These vaccines are not yet available, and are expected to be distributed in the middle to end of October 2025 (public health currently estimates Family Practices will get a supply of flu shots around Oct 27, 2025).
1. Flu Shots (Influenza):
○ All patients age 2 years and up:
i. Please schedule your flu shot with Skymark Pharmacy as our family practice will have a limited supply of flu shots from public health, which will be used to prioritize patients under age 2 years.
ii. Flu shot appointments can be booked online with Skymark Pharmacy once flu shots are available at the end of Oct, 2025: skymarkpharmacy.com/book-online
○ Patients age 6 months to 2 years:
i. Flu shots must be given by a physician or public health unit and not by a pharmacist for this age range.
ii. Regular appointments can be booked with your family doctor at our location for flu shots for this age group: skymarkmedical.ca/online-booking

2. RSV Shots (Respiratory Syncytial Virus):
○ Regular appointments can be booked with your family doctor at our location for
RSV shots if eligible based on the criteria below: skymarkmedical.ca/online-
booking
○ Beyfortus (RSV antibody shot):
i. For Infants born on or after Apr 1, 2025 and less than 8 months of age:
1. Can be given starting Oct 2025 once available, up to the end of RSV season (March 31, 2026).
○ Abrysvo: (RSV Vaccine given in pregnancy):
i. For pregnant individuals between 32 to 36 weeks gestational age:
1. Can be given if they will deliver prior to or during RSV season (generally from November 1st to March 31st).
○ Arexvy: (RSV Vaccine for older adults):
i. For adults age 75 and older: NEW this fall, Ontario has expanded its publicly funded RSV immunization program to include Arexvy for all adults 75 years of age and older.
ii. For high risk adults age 60-75; High-risk criteria include:
1. Resident of a long-term care home, Elder Care Lodge, or retirement home including similar settings (for example, co-located facilities).
2. Patient in hospital receiving alternate level of care (ALC) including similar settings (for example, complex continuing care, hospital transitional programs)
3. Patient with glomerulonephritis (a type of kidney disease) who is moderately to severely immunocompromised.
4. Patient receiving hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis.
5. Recipient of solid organ or hematopoietic stem cell transplants.
6. Individual who is homeless.
7. Individual who identifies as First Nations, Inuit, or Métis.

3. COVID-19 Shots:
● Please note: COVID-19 vaccines will not be available at our office or at Skymark
Pharmacy, as these vaccines require a special ultra-low temperature freezer we
do not have on site.
● Booking COVID-19 shots:
○ Other pharmacies that stock COVID-19 vaccines can administer them to anyone age 6 months and older (please note not all pharmacies will administer COVID vaccines to patients under age 2 years; you can call ahead to the pharmacy to confirm if they can administer vaccines to young children): COVID-19 pharmacy vaccine locations (ontario.ca)
○ You can book an appointment at a Toronto Public Health Vaccine Centre online for children age 6 months to 11 years once the vaccine supply is available at the end of Oct 2025: Toronto Public Health online COVID-19 vaccine booking

● If you need a COVID-19 test:
○ Home test kits can be purchased from most pharmacies and grocery stores including Skymark Pharmacy; public health is no longer providing free home test kits.
